Toyota Prius Hybrid Amazing Luxury Car

TORRANCE, California — Toyota officials have said for years that they plan to build a whole sub-brand around the Prius hybrid, and that will finally come to fruition at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. The world premiere of the Prius "family of vehicles" is set for January 10, with a live Webcast at 1:05 p.m. ET on that day at Toyota's news Web site.

Toyota says the family gathering will include the current third-generation Prius, the plug-in version (or PHV), an all-new larger body style Prius and a Prius concept. Toyota dealers saw the family lineup in October, Automotive News reported. The automaker also tipped its hand to the public that month, announcing the larger Prius model at a 10-year anniversary celebration for the Prius in Malibu.

Although Toyota hasn't given many advance details, it posted a sneak peek on YouTube, featuring skateboarding star Bob Burnquist, who is shown unloading gear from the back of the new Prius model and says it has 50 percent more cargo space "without compromising sustainability."
